One of my favourite home staging and home decor items to use are hard cover books.

You can do so much with them. Displayed nicely on a side table or coffee table, they can make a huge statement. Three or four stacked on top of each other, you can create height. Line up on a book shelf and you can fill any open shelf.

But sometimes the books we have don't match our room theme, or they're just not a book you want to display. Maybe the book is getting a little beat up and it needs a facelift.

It's very easy to make your own book covers. You can really get creative with it too. There are all kinds of materials out there you can use, but for this week's tidbit, I'm using paper. I'll show you how you can make your own book covers to match your room decor with this simple and fun little project.

So get creative with it. And if you do try this tidbit, I'd love to hear what you used and how it worked out for you.
