I'm not a fan of ironing. In fact, it's one of those things I just don't have time for. I try to buy clothes that don't need to ironed. But, sometimes there's just no getting around it. You have that favourite shirt that needs it.

And so although I try to avoid it, I still have an iron sitting in my closet for those few times I use it. It doesn't get a lot of activity. So it amazes me how dirty it get's when it hardly get's used.

Case in point: I'm ironing a white blouse and all of a sudden some brown crud falls out of the iron vent onto my CLEAN, WHITE shirt. So I have to throw it in the wash again...GRRRRR.

This is where a little bit of regular iron maintenance and cleaning comes in; whether you use it all the time or just on a few clothing items. We don't want to be ruining our favourite shirts, now do we?

This week's video shows you how to clean your iron inside and out. It'll keep your clothes clean and crisp with none of that cruddy residue transferring onto your clothes.

I hope you enjoy this Tidbit and if you have any other suggestions on how to clean your iron, be sure to leave me a comment below :) Thanks for watching.
