DIY Manure Tea to Fertilize Plants - Gardening Tips

The gardening season is here so it's time to get our hands dirty.

Every gardener wants their plants and their lawn to be lush and healthy and the best way to do that is to regularly fertilize. Blooming plants especially need an extra boost considering the energy they expel creating beautiful flowers.

One thing that has always annoyed me when buying fertilizer from the store is for one, you may have to buy a few different kinds because there's one kind for flowering plants, another kind for evergreen and another kind for lawns. You could spend a fortune. And yes, there are all purpose fertilizers you can purchase, but again, I always go back to wondering what exactly is in those fertilizers (another thing that annoys me about store bought kinds).

We all know what a great fertilizer manure is. Adding manure to your soil is one of the best ways to add nutrients. But, another great way to deliver a shot of fertilizer directly to the root is to deliver it in liquid form. That's why manure tea is so great. It gives plants an instant boost.

This week I'll show you how to make your own Manure Tea that you can use as an all purpose fertilizer for ALL of your plants - flowers, planters, annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, evergreens, the grass - you name it. And it's VERY cost effective and healthy - especially for those of us who have fur-babies sniffing around the yard.

If you decide to try this recipe, I would love to hear how you like it, so be sure to leave a comment below.

Happy Gardening!
