My house is all decorated and ready for Christmas. It looks wonderful; very festive.
But, it wouldn't be complete without the warm and cozy scent of the holidays - pine, cinnamon, cranberries, oranges, apples.
This year I thought I'd try my own homemade stovetop Christmas potpourri and boy I'm sure glad I did. Wow, I can't believe how great my house smells.
It's the icing on the cake, the finishing touch, to all my Christmas decor.
You can make it too, very easily and this week's video will show you how. I've included an ingredients list below the video for easy reference.
Your home will smell AMAZING...very festive. I hope you enjoy - Happy Holidays.
Here is a list of the ingredients:
- 2-4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tbsp of whole cloves
- 1/2 - 1 cup of fresh cranberries
- 1 sliced orange
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 3-4 sprigs of pine (you can use cedar or spruce, or you can omit them all together if you don't have easy access to any)
- Water or leftover apple juice. I added a bit of apple juice because it passed it's expiry date. But you can use straight water if you don't have any.
